Luminaire Rural Development Organisation works closely with local authorities, partner NGOs, educational providers and community leaders in Darfur, Sudan to deliver educational resources and vocational skills to equip young men and women with the tools and opportunities they need to overcome endemic barriers and achieve a successful future and a stronger, prosperous community.
Luminaire Rural Development Organisation also provides access to clean water and sanitation by providing support to local water projects through collaboration and cooperation with a network of international companies and local government agencies in the Darfur region and wider Sudan.

Luminaire Rural Development Organisation’s mission is one of health, education and opportunity for young men and women burdened by over 20 years of war in the Darfur Region.
Youth who learn to read and are better educated are healthier, more self-sufficient and have access to better opportunities that can earn a better living and become productive members of their communities. Not only does the increased access to water and books promote literacy but it also contributes to the development of children and communities at large.
